Company Barbeque and World Cup shoot out
In the middle of June, we held our annual Colloide barbeque alongside a not so annual world cup shoot out.
With the World Cup kicking off, it was the perfect chance to bring together dedicated colleagues from across the business for some good food and friendly rivalry. While the weather didn’t get the memo, the food made up for it. The more competitive (or perhaps sportier) members of our team took part in our penalty shootout.

The BBQ certainly did not disappoint, although some of our colleague’s football skills did. More importantly, it provided an opportunity for everyone to relax, catch up with co-workers and enjoy a good lunch together. Encouraging conversation across departments and strengthening the bonds that make Colloide thrive. Nothing motivates a good team like good food and healthy competition.
What it meant to us
Events like these are a great reminder are a great reminder the values that underpin everything we do at Colloide. One of the core values of our company is teamwork, and we are lucky enough to have a team that makes this easy to uphold! The people we have are the core of our culture, shaping the teamwork, innovation, excellence, and sustainability that tie us together.
Thank you to all of our team that joined us, whether it was to show off a secret talent, to appreciate a good lunch or even just for a conversation with colleagues. Thank you to our Colloide chefs and organisers who made sure everyone was fed and the day ran smoothly. Building and nurturing a positive culture is important, but with a team like ours it comes naturally.
