Who is in our Bid Team?

Hi! I am Caoimhe-Rose, Bid Writer and Coordinator at Colloide. I am approaching my one-year anniversary with the company and bring five years of experience in bid writing to the role. Over these years, I have developed a strong skill set, including written communication, attention to detail, strategic thinking, and research abilities. My role involves managing the complete bid and tender cycle, starting from the capture stage and progressing through to submission. This is a critical function within the business, aimed at securing new opportunities and maintaining Colloide’s industry presence and partnerships. I collaborate with Stacey, our Business Development Director, who oversees bid submissions and provides strategic direction to align with broader business development objectives, and Emma, our Business Development and Marketing Student, who supports various tasks such as research and coordination. My qualifications include a degree in Business Technology from Ulster University and the APMP Bid and Proposal Management Certificate.

What are the team’s key responsibilities?

Our team is integral to the development and success of Colloide’s business opportunities. Our key responsibilities include:

Identifying Opportunities: We actively seek out tender opportunities that align with Colloide’s expertise and strategic objectives. This involves utilising tender portals, conducting market research, and maintaining direct communication with clients and partners.

Tender Planning and Coordination: The team ensures a well-structured approach to each tender by organising kick-off meetings, storyboarding sessions, and review processes to streamline bid development.

Tender Preparation: We gather necessary information, draft detailed and compliant responses to tenders, and ensure that all submissions meet the stipulated requirements.

Collaboration: Close collaboration with the commercial, marketing, and technical teams, including engineers, enables us to integrate knowledge and produce robust bid submissions.

Business Development: We engage in outreach initiatives, network at industry events, and maintain relationships with potential clients and partners to foster business growth.
